Paediatric & Special Needs Service
The Paediatric and Special Needs service provides primary eye care for children and infants under the age of 7 years.
It is important to have a child’s eyes examined whether there appears to be a problem or not. Many eye problems in children do not have associated symptoms or signs. It is recommended that all children should have their first eye examination at the age of 6 months. The next examination should be before starting school and then annually thereafter.

The Paediatric and Special Needs Service also provides eye care for physically and cognitively challenged individuals of any age.
